La Zagaleta is the most exclusive private urbanization in Europe, and
one of the most exclusive in the world. Founded in 1991, it has an
area of more than 900 hectares of Mediterranean forest with
spectacular views of the blue Mediterranean and the African coast.
Located in the spectacular mountain range of Benahav\u00eds, it is nestled
in the middle of nature and surrounded by mountains, it is common to
see deer, fallow deer, mouflon and wild boar.
Here reside some of the greatest fortunes in the world, being able to
enjoy the urbanization with the greatest possible privacy. With a
highly qualified security staff and an exhaustive registration at all
entrances and exits with which access is controlled, allowing access
only to residents, guests and staff, provided they are previously
authorized.
La Zagaleta is a symbol of privacy and exclusivity, with two golf
courses, heliport, equestrian center, private lake and sports club, is a
paradise available to very few. More than 230 villas strategically
located to preserve the privacy of each owner. Prices range from 5 to
25 million euros, with plots of between 3,000 and 10,000 m2. The
maintenance of the villas is around 70,000\u20ac per year and the

Of the two golf courses that La Zagaleta has, one of them is only for
residents, with 18 holes and an estimated completion time of 4 hours
and a half, was designed by golf architect Brad Benz in 1991 and
redesigned by Marc Westenborg in 2016, this is known as the Old
Course.
With a completely different configuration and design, the New Course
is a golf course that offers unique characteristics that make its game
completely different from the Old Course. Also with 18 holes and an
estimated completion time of 4.5 hours, it is a real challenge for its
players.
Each course is a different experience, the classic Old Couse delights
us with its elegance while the New Course makes us enjoy a more
athletic course. Playing both courses in succession is difficult to
imagine that they are part of the same Golf Club and that is their
essence.
La Zagaleta does not have schools in its facilities, but the
urbanization has a number of educational centers within walking
distance. International schools recognized for their academic
excellence, some of the most prestigious on the Costa del Sol.
